Transition to In-Person Instruction

Instructional Model

Ohio County Schools will transition in-person learning from our Hybrid Schedule to 5 days a week for all in-person K-12 students on March 22, 2021.  We value the importance of in-person learning.  March 22nd was chosen for the following reasons:

  1. This date is 2 weeks after staff receives the 2nd round of the vaccine.
  2. March 22 is the start of the 4th 9 weeks…March 19 is the end of the 3rd 9 weeks
  3. This 3 week window will allow all of us to make preparations for this transition.

*Please keep in mind that we will continue to practice social distancing when possible, but there may be times during the school day that we can’t ensure that this occurs.

*We will continue to wear masks throughout the day, except during lunch, and temperatures will be checked each morning upon arrival to school.

*Preschool students will continue following their current schedule for the remainder of the school year.

*Virtual/NTI Students can remain on their current instructional path for the remainder of the year…that choice is up to you.

*Meals will still be available for pick up at each school.  We also plan to continue with our 3 summer feeding routes.

*All students will have the opportunity to make instructional changes before March 22.  Please contact the school soon if you plan to make any instructional changes.  After that date, students will need to finish the school year with the instructional mode they are using.
